Blood Program

6th District Midwinter – January 29, 2021 – Sauk Center MN

Good Morning,

Welcome everyone.  It’s great to see your cheery faces.

Yes, the flu season is in full force.  Not only is COVID and Omicron, but all other variants of the flu.  Yes, you can still get the yearly flu.

Why am I reminding you of this?  What is the first question you are asked when you go in to give blood?  Yes, that’s right: “How are you feeling today?”

Stay healthy.

I would like to encourage you all to give blood and give often.  Remember, you can save lives.  Encourage your family and friends to do the same.

Today, I have the Annual Blood Report.  This report is from January 1, 2021 thru December 31, 2021.  That means these reports could be sent in right away.

As Department is not sending these out, I would like to hand out one report to each Post present here today.  I will be in the back of the room to hand these out.  Your Post will be checked off my list.  Those not picked up will be mailed.  Help me save postage.

We need to “toot our horns and blow our whistles”.  You work so hard all year, brag about it, just like if you were bragging about your kids or grandkids.  Be proud of what you do.

Awards do not “Just Happen,” someone has to send in the paperwork.  No one knows what you do, unless you send in your reports.

Remember:  Give the gift of life.  Give and give often.
