What is the Commander’s Project

What is the Commander's Project ?

Every Year the District Commander picks a Project to help his fellow Veterans and their

Families. This year my Commander’s Project Homeless and Wounded Warriors from Emily,

Minnesota. They Help Veterans and their Families through everyday life, such as groceries,

utility bills, medicle bills, and car repairs. They are a 501 C 3 which means it can be used by Gambling part of the

American Legion. We also take personal Donations or you can see that if anyone or any Organization wants to HELP our

 Nations Veterans you can

Who do we send the Donations to ?

In the 6th District we have a Fiance man named Kenny Meyer. He is excellant at his job. If you want to donate to Homeless and Wounded Warriors you can send all donations to him. His address is:   Kenny Meyer,  4345 Acorn Lane, Pequot Lakes, Mn. 56472. Kenny will receive your check, record it in his books, and then send it to the Project in a respectable time. You also need to put in Memo Section District Commander's Project. This year we started our Project with a Goal of 12,000.00 and are now over the 25,790.00. I believe by the end of the year, I am expecting to be over 27,000.00. Now that is our citizens and American Legion Posts and other Veterans taking care of VETERANS.
